Lausanne – July 5th, 2017. GenView has been selected, among over 200 participants, as one of the 10 finalists of the Swisscom StartUp Challenge 2017, in partnership with Venturelab.
This yearly challenge started in 2013, and gathers start-ups from the IT, Telecommunications, Big data, FinTech, E-commerce, Smart mobility, E-health, Media and Cleantech industries. Those companies undergo a rigorous filtering, to select only the ground-breaking innovations and companies that have made the biggest impression.
GenView, along with the nine other finalists, is now engaged in the next selection round that shortlists the top five companies that will fly away on a business acceleration trip to the Silicon Valley and meet potential investors, partners and customers. It is a great opportunity for GenView to step foot on the US market, which is very dynamic and where the Smart City activities are strongly developing.
“We are proud to have been recognized by a leading ICT company in Switzerland such as Swisscom, proving that there is a strong market interest. Cities have a real need of gaining a clear overview of the increasing amount of data they are creating. GenView 3D fills the gap of this missing visualization and governance layer in the Smart City sector. Moreover, this recognition fits perfectly with our commercial activities, in which we are developing a strong local basis and initiating international expansion. The Swisscom Startup Challenge is clearly a stepping stone for our exposition and development.”, said Thierry Navarro, CEO of GenView.
